Stephen McAllister
APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC

Founder 

Stephen McAllister, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in diverse psychiatric settings and pediatric behavioral health, founded MPS in June 2021. He is dedicated to driving continuous improvements and fostering collaborations across the healthcare continuum to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes. He tailors his approach and treatment to the unique needs of each individual patient. His credentials and experience include:

​

  • Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio University

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio University

  • Master of Science in Nursing degree, with specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, from The Ohio State University

  • Preceptorship in outpatient telepsychiatry with experience in forensic inpatient at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare Hospital

  • Nursing management experience in community mental health as well as mental health and substance abuse crisis intervention and assessment services.

  • Extensive psychiatric practice experience in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, crisis, crisis stabilization, residential, telepsychiatry, medication-assisted treatment, pediatrics, community mental health, and behavioral home health. 

  • Member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International

Kristin McAllister
LISW-S

Kristin is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Supervisor. Through any setting, she believes in the importance of providing a client centered and trauma informed space, so that clients may feel comfortable to identify and ultimately meet their goals for treatment. As a supervisor, Kristin promotes a professional atmosphere where respect, consultation, and ongoing communication are key. She has over ten years of experience in the mental health field providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling services.

 

Kristin has worked in crisis, inpatient, residential, community programming and academic settings. Her experience and credentials include:

​

  • Team Leader of a Crisis Stabilization Unit, providing and overseeing services of a voluntary inpatient psychiatric program

  • Adjunct Professor for introductory social work students, providing education and guidance as they enter the field

  • Clinician providing solution focused counseling, supportive listening, motivational interviewing, techniques included in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

  • Student research assistant through The Ohio State University and Harding Hospital

  • Bachelor of Art, with a major in Psychology from The Ohio State University

  • Master of Social Work Degree from The Ohio State University

  • Supervising Licensed Independent Social Worker

Diane McAllister M.S., PharmD, BCPP

Diane is a board-certified Psychiatric Pharmacist with 24 years of experience.  Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with patients in a variety of settings including acute care psychiatry, pediatrics, and geriatrics. She has worked with patients with substance use disorders, severe mental illness, childhood disorders, and personality disorders. Diane chose this path because it allows her to focus on taking care of her patients. Her credentials and experience include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University

  • Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Administration from The Ohio State University

  • Long-term Care Fellowship: The Ohio State University, Parke-Davis and Vrable Healthcare

  • Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University

  • Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacy

  • Over twenty-years of experience in the inpatient and outpatient settings managing patients’ medication regimens, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, interpreting physician orders, compounding medications, providing counseling, Clozapine REMS reporting and medication reconciliation. 

  • Member of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacist (CPNP)
